Getting You Back To Tattooing!
You can't show up authentically in your tattoo career if you are stuck wearing all the hats in your business. In order to do what you want to do, you have to be willing to do things you have never done to get there!
Erica's Story
I'm Erica Chandler, founder and CEO of THE ADMIN SOCIETY. I took the traditional route that most parents encouraged, graduate high school, go to college, get your degree, and climb the corporate ladder. That is what I did for 12 years. During this time I obtained my bachelor's in Human Resources Management and worked as a hiring and training expert for various types of small businesses. Eventually this path wasn't for me and started to wonder what my purpose was. On my search my husband asked me to help him with his tattoo business and immediately I was hooked. I feel in love with my husbands art, his clients, and all the amazing artists in the industry.
Over time, I realized that the process for a tattoo artist to sign on an assistant is non existent. I was pretty much thrown to the wolves and I had to figure out this job myself. My husband couldn't train me, he was busy with his tattoos, and had no experience doing so like I have. He knew how to talk to his clients but he didn't know how to teach someone else how to talk with his clients. I remember losing sleep over this job and I couldn't understand how to work for a tattoo artist. All I knew was my husband needed help desperately getting organized and taking on more clients.
It inspired me to look into this further to see if other tattoo artists and assistants combined have experienced the same as I had. To my findings this was accurate and it's the norm in the industry and that didn't sit well with me. I knew that I had to take some sort of action. The Admin Society came to be because I knew in my heart that this was my purpose. It gave me passion in my life and it fulfilled me but the reality was this road I was about to embark on a journey that was going to be met with many trails and tribulations along the way. I was creating a pillar in the tattoo industry by myself but this was the fire that keeps me going. I knew that I am here for a reason.
I saw the silent cries for help from tattoo artists who just want to tattoo but they are being weighed down by their business. In those silent cries for help I saw the arguments with the person they love because they can't be present at home due to having to work outside of work hours. I saw stress consuming them because they know they are spread too thin and they can't get relief. I saw their past experiences of hiring someone they knew but ended up getting burned because they didn't know how to help or they just wanted the status of working at a tattoo shop.
I started to focus on becoming the solution for tattoo artists. I knew that if I was going to do this I had to study the ins and outs of how this business runs, understand the clients, and the culture all together. Using my experience and expertise I created The Admin Society because tattoos artists need help from all angles. From booking software to hiring and training an assistant.
This mindset of having to do it all alone is one that should stay in the past. Your mental and physical well being matters and we make that the priority!
I train you on how to prioritize your mental and physical health. You can't be everything to everyone and be nothing to yourself. Whether you are just looking for some organization with booking software to hiring your next assistant. My programs are designed to help you get the relief that you so desperately deserve.
Your business has the chance to not only be sustainable but also thrive. These are not cookie cutter programs. Each program is individualized for each tattoo artist. Each person I work with has different needs and during our time we will work through what you are struggling with, address it, adjust it, and we audit it. We are able to change your life in a drastic way that involves tightening up your tattoo booking process, hiring an assistant, or training them to ensure that they can step in and take over the things you no longer have time for.
Having the ability to help so many other tattoo artists and assistants combined is the excitement I need to continue each day! You don't have to live your life spread too thin, bogged down, and stressed to the max!
What People Are Saying
"Erica has been an absolute blessing to our tattoo business! When it comes to working with clients, sometimes it can be scary to put your foot down or stand up for yourself. You want to be everyone’s friend but you have to also maintain professionalism as well, so when I had to deal with my first “red flag client” and didn’t know how to handle the situation, I reached out to Erica for advice. She immediately gave me multiple amazing examples and so much helpful advice. I had a client trying to take control over my process and they had became aggressive and disrespectful. Erica reminded me that sometimes it’s just business and you have to set your boundaries. She advised me on steps to take to fire my client in a professional manner and even sent me some example scrips on ways to get my point across while maintaining professionalism. This was just my first experience as she’s helped me multiple times previously, and I would recommend her to any tattoo artist, shop owner, or admin/assistant that struggles to communicate with clients, or just wants to communicate more professionally or better equip themselves in the industry. 10/10 will always recommend Erica and The Admin Society! Make things easier for yourself and your business and let her help you!"

"I hired an assistant I didn't know how to train her. I needed someone that can take over so I could focus on my art. After taking your admin class my assistant she knows exactly what she is doing and she is very confident about it. It has increased business. We're not for everybody, she weeds that out, it doesn't even get to me I don't have to waste my time. People have come behind the desk that has completely stopped. After having an assistant that has been trained properly it has changed everything about my studio. She is the person that you see, she's the front desk, and the face of the shop. Man investing in your assistants training is so worth it. It's priceless! I would recommend Erica and The Admin Society to any shop owner, any front desk help, to any assistant."
